At The Hits, we love big ideas, loud moments and promotions that people can’t stop talking about. We’re on the hunt for a Promotions Director to lead bold, content led campaigns that excite our audience.
What You’ll Do
The primary purpose of this role is to drive audience engagement through innovative, high impact promotional campaigns.
You’ll be the strategic lead for all promotions and activations — ensuring everything we do is on brand, audience first, commercially appealing, and flawlessly executed.
How You’ll Do It
Develop and lead The Hits annual promotions and activations strategy, contributing to the wider brand marketing plan alongside content and marketing teams
Create and deliver innovative, multi‑platform promotional ideas in collaboration with content, digital, marketing and commercial teams
Lead The Hits partnerships and concert activity, ensuring strong alignment with the brand
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional markets, including leading weekly calls to align local promotions with brand content strategy
Champion The Hits brand in reactive client briefs and integrated sales ideation, ensuring promotions deliver for both audience and advertiser
Represent the brand at the ideation stage of the integrated sales process
Work closely with Commercial Integration to ensure proactive commercial opportunities are well communicated and delivered on time
Ensure all campaigns are executed to the highest standard, within agreed timelines and budgets
Provide regular market intelligence and insights to inform future promotional strategies
Manage casual promo staff, including rosters, budgets, timesheets and payroll processes
Onboard and train new casual promo staff
Assist with NZ Radio Awards submissions
