Media Coordinator

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Media Coordinator, you will support the sales team by providing exceptional administration and coordination support duties to the wider Commercial Sales team as required and outlined by your People Leader.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
Account Coordination:
Support your sales team to sell by providing exceptional administration, coordination and reporting support duties as directed by your Manager.
Operating multiple systems and ensure efficient handling of all sales collateral.
Proactively identify potential issues and address these quickly.
Continuously look for smarter ways to do things and take accountability to make change happen by communicating ideas and auctioning change quickly and efficiently.
Work to gain thorough knowledge of NZME products, platforms and increase knowledge of NZ media landscape.
Be proactive, take responsibility for on-going learning, take advantage of all opportunities on offer, and celebrate team success.
Complete these duties to a high degree of accuracy.
Planning and organisational skills:
Work quickly and efficiently, managing time and prioritising to meet all deadlines.
Liaise effectively in all planning meetings and juggle multiple priorities.
Operate with an NZME-wide mentality, fostering strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Client-focussed:
Think customer and client-first, fostering positive relationships with external stakeholders.
Technical skills:
Fully utilise all sales systems and booking tools.
Demonstrating competence in up-to-date sales techniques and solutions sales across multiple platforms– e.g. print, digital, radio, video.
Compliance:
Comply with all relevant advertising standards and practices.
Act in accordance with accepted business rules and practices.

ABOUT YOU
Background:
1+ years’ experience in the media industry would be ideal.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Proven success in supporting a high functioning, fast paced sales teams.
Deadline driven, with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
System and IT savvy (high level competency with all Microsoft office tools)
Good Team Player.
Proven relationship building skills.
Good common sense and excellent judgment skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communication:
You’ll be an effective communicator and will keep managers and colleagues updated on all necessary information.
Ability to relate confidently and appropriately with people inside and outside the organisation.
Teamwork:
You’ll welcome input, respect others’ views and contribute positively to NZME as a whole.
