Account Manager - OneRoof

THE OPPORTUNITY
This is your chance to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of OneRoof, New Zealand’s leading property platform. As an Account Manager based in Nelson or Blenheim, you’ll be responsible for generating sustainable revenue growth across the real estate category by managing and expanding a portfolio of clients.
You’ll work closely with agencies and advertisers to understand their business goals, develop tailored advertising solutions and position NZME as their trusted media partner. With OneRoof Digital at the heart of your approach, you’ll also champion NZME’s wider product portfolio across digital, print and radio to deliver maximum impact and return on investment.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
You’ll take a proactive, audience-first approach to account management, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. Key responsibilities include:
Building deep, long-term relationships through regular, planned client engagement
Developing annual account strategies aligned to client objectives and NZME growth targets
Owning OneRoof revenue across your accounts, ensuring strong conversion, yield and budget delivery
Identifying and securing new business opportunities within the real estate category
Designing and presenting integrated advertising solutions using NZME’s full media portfolio
Working collaboratively with internal teams to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience
Monitoring market trends, client activity and performance data to inform strategy and maximise revenue
Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, reports and account updates for management
You’ll consistently operate with integrity, demonstrate NZME values, and keep compliance, health and safety top of mind in everything you do.
ABOUT YOU
You’re a confident and commercially minded account manager who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You’ll bring:
2–5 years’ experience in account management or sales, ideally within media or a similar sector
A strong understanding of digital advertising and audience-led solutions
Proven ability to grow revenue, manage yield and develop new business
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
A proactive, adaptable approach and a genuine drive for continuous improvement
A degree in commerce, media studies or equivalent experience in the New Zealand media market will be highly regarded.
