Radio Traffic Manager
Traffic radio campaigns with precision, solve log puzzles daily, and keep Aotearoa’s biggest stations sounding seamless on air nationwide always.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you a radio traffic manager who lives and breathes commercial logs and puzzle solving? If you’re looking to grow your career, sharpen your trafficking skills, and learn new ones—this is your moment.
Following an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Radio Traffic Manager to join our Auckland Head Office team. These roles demand 100% accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, confident communication, and the ability to spot, anticipate, and dissolve problems before they impact output.
Your goal is simple (and crucial): ensure client campaigns run smoothly on air, deliver as promised, and provide audiences with the best listening experience.
You’ll work across a broad portfolio of stations and audio brands—from Newstalk ZB and The Hits to ZM, Flava, Coast, Radio Hauraki and iHeart Radio—and you’ll be right in the mix with the energy (and personalities) that make radio what it is.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
In this role, you’ll be at the operational heart of broadcast delivery—translating booked campaigns into accurate, compliant, on-air outcomes. Day to day, you will:
Place ads and “lock and load” commercial breaks into logs across radio stations throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
Maintain an unwavering focus on quality, process, and precision, recognising that even small errors can ripple through on-air delivery.
Use your judgement and calm approach to identify issues early, communicate clearly, and take action to keep campaigns running smoothly and delivering as promised.
Work confidently with a range of stakeholders and “big personalities”, bringing a steady, solutions-first mindset to every interaction.
ABOUT YOU
To thrive here, you’ll be the type who naturally enjoys the puzzle of a log, takes pride in getting things exactly right, and brings a consistent, high-standard work ethic every day.
You’ll likely have:
1–2 years’ experience in trafficking radio, audio, or similar scheduled media booking / commercial administration.
A reputation for 100% accuracy, strong attention to detail, and a structured approach to busy, deadline-driven work.
Confident communication skills and the ability to stay organised, calm under pressure, and efficient—without compromising quality.
The ability to work positively with a wide range of people, seeing the value in collaborating with “big personalities” while staying focused on outcomes.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
You’ll be supported to succeed from day one. We’ll teach you all the systems, and you’ll be welcomed through kind, robust onboarding, backed by a team of great humans ready to help.
On top of that, you can look forward to:
A role that builds deep expertise in radio trafficking and commercial log management, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
Being part of a supportive, high-performing team in our Auckland Head Office.
Working across some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s best-known stations and audio brands—where the pace is real, the work matters, and the output is heard every day.
Apply now!
All applicants will be asked about their working rights in New Zealand (e.g., citizen, resident, visa, no visa etc.).
