THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Account Manager in our Real Estate category, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue, strengthening client relationships, and championing NZME’s market‑leading media solutions across print, digital and radio.
You’ll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, nurturing long‑term relationships and uncovering new business opportunities. Your work will directly contribute to NZME’s reputation as the media partner of choice for New Zealand businesses.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
You’ll succeed by combining strategic thinking with a customer‑first mindset and disciplined account management. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Meeting regularly with clients to understand their business priorities, challenges and growth ambitions.
• Developing annual account strategies in partnership with your manager, ensuring each plan aligns with client objectives and NZME’s broader sales goals.
• Presenting tailored media solutions across NZME’s full portfolio — print, radio, digital and emerging platforms.
• Managing the end‑to‑end performance of each account, ensuring high‑quality execution, regular review cycles and impeccable client service.
• Identifying and converting new business opportunities within the Real Estate category to fuel revenue and EBIT growth.
• Collaborating across channels and departments to streamline processes, share insights and elevate the customer experience.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records, preparing reporting and contributing to forecasting, budgeting and yield improvement initiatives.
• Staying ahead of market trends, client behaviour shifts and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions and maximise revenue potential.

ABOUT YOU
You’ll be someone who brings energy, commercial nous and a genuine passion for helping clients succeed. You will ideally have:
• A degree in commerce, media studies or equivalent experience in the NZ media landscape.
• 2–5 years’ experience in account management within a fast‑paced, audience‑driven environment.
• Proven success in sales performance, client relationship management and new business development.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long‑term partnerships.
• A solutions‑focused mindset with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, capable of managing budgets and prioritising effectively across multiple accounts.
• A positive, proactive attitude — you take initiative, lead with integrity and consistently strive for excellence.
