THE OPPORTUNITY
Step into a high‑impact, senior commercial role where you’ll champion an audience‑led, channel‑agnostic sales strategy across a defined agency portfolio. You’ll own revenue growth end‑to‑end—shaping total‑audience solutions, deepening senior client relationships, and co‑leading complex negotiations—while strengthening NZME’s reputation as the media partner of choice.
This is a Fixed Term Maternity cover role for 1 year.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
Set winning strategy: Shape and execute total‑audience commercial plans for your agency group, collaborating with category, product and wider commercial teams to lift share and yield.
Lead senior relationships: Maintain a planned cadence with key clients and agency leaders; understand their businesses deeply and bring forward proactive, insight‑led solutions spanning print, audio and digital.
Build and convert pipeline: Identify and pursue new business within your portfolio; design annual client strategies and present compelling proposals that deliver measurable outcomes.
Deliver with excellence: Keep forecasting sharp, CRM data current, and account execution to NZME’s standards; share market intelligence and drive continuous improvements that simplify how agencies work with us.
Model our values: Operate safely and ethically, contribute to team rituals and development, and help foster a culture where people do their best work.
ABOUT YOU
A persuasive communicator and strategic negotiator, confident engaging at C‑suite and senior agency levels.
Deep understanding of the agency ecosystem and audience‑first planning, with a track record growing revenue through multi‑platform media solutions.
Commercially astute and highly organised—strong planning, forecasting and CRM discipline, with the pace to juggle competing priorities.
Collaborative, values‑led and growth‑minded—curious about data and market trends, and energised by building long‑term, trusted partnerships.
