Bring your passion for video interviews and storytelling to a fast-paced, dynamic environment where every day is different.
Demonstrate ability to direct and work alongside hosts, journalists, multimedia journalists, visual journalists, studio operators and video producers to deliver outstanding content.
Communicate quickly and effectively during breaking or developing news situations, ensuring our coverage is both fast and accurate.
Create a variety of engaging video content, tailored for audiences across multiple platforms.
Drive positive change within the newsroom, coaching and mentoring colleagues at every opportunity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with newsroom teams, commercial partners, and colleagues across NZME to deliver on our shared strategy.
Uphold the highest editorial standards, ensuring all content meets our style and formatting guidelines.
ABOUT YOU:
Relevant qualification and/or significant experience working in newsrooms in senior roles and will be skilled in the multimedia delivery of content.
Bring control room experience overseeing the output of live shows, not necessarily in the business genre.
Comfortable in digital / broadcasting environments and will have a track record in people-leadership.
Effective communicator who keeps leaders and colleagues informed and relates confidently with people inside and outside the organisation.
A team player who welcomes input, respects others’ views and contributes positively to NZME.
Committed to ongoing learning and personal development, adaptable to change.
