You’ll be at the forefront of breaking news, uncovering untold stories and producing compelling planned content that keeps our readers informed, engaged and coming back for more.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT:

You’ll create engaging, timely content for our Waikato Herald and New Zealand Herald platforms that upholds our commitment to quality, accuracy, and trustworthiness. You’ll generate unique, compelling story ideas that not only capture the audience’s attention but set us apart from the competition. You’ll bring curiosity, courage, and a clear, authentic voice to everything you write. As a multimedia journalist you'll also be expected to take photos and video.

ABOUT YOU:

• You'll have a relevant journalism qualification, and be committed to delivering high-impact, authentic, relentlessly interesting journalism.
• Your attributes and talents will include a dogged pursuit of the truth, and high-quality research and writing skills.
• Your journalism will inform and engage audiences locally and nationally thanks to great contact building and a great nose for news.
• You'll also have a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
