Digital Performance Specialist

THE OPPORTUNITY:
NZME is looking for a Digital Performance Specialist to lead the end-to-end execution of digital marketing campaigns for our valued internal clients.
In this role, you’ll work closely with sales, digital specialists, and operational teams to deliver seamless, multi-platform campaigns that drive measurable results. From developing strategic recommendations to reporting on performance and identifying optimisation opportunities, you’ll be at the centre of NZME’s digital marketing excellence.
This is a unique opportunity to work with one of New Zealand’s leading media and marketing brands while influencing outcomes across channels such as display, video, audio, social, search, and programmatic.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT:
As a strategic campaign expert, your success will come from balancing performance insights with strong client partnerships and flawless execution.
Client Management & Strategy
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal digital stakeholders and commercial teams
- Provide strategic consultation to align digital campaigns with client business goals
- Support key sales opportunities with technical input and proposals
- Develop cross-channel campaign strategies using audience data, industry trends, and digital best practices
- Deliver post-campaign insights and regular performance reporting, offering optimisation recommendations
Digital Campaign Execution
- Manage the setup, launch, and day-to-day delivery of campaigns across display, social, programmatic, video, and more
- Optimise performance through targeting, creative refinement, and budget allocation
- Ensure integrated campaigns provide a seamless experience across touchpoints
- Coordinate with offshore teams on execution, troubleshooting, and reporting
Data & Analytics
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and platform dashboards to track performance
- Translate data into meaningful insights and clear actions for internal teams and clients
- Drive strategic improvements based on campaign trends and learnings
Team Collaboration & Innovation
- Partner with internal teams across sales, operations, and creative to deliver on campaign goals
- Stay on top of emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across campaign delivery and client service
ABOUT YOU:
You’re an organised, commercially minded digital marketer who thrives on driving impact and solving problems through data. You enjoy collaborating with teams and turning strategy into action.
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years' experience in digital marketing or campaign management, preferably with client-facing exposure
- Expertise in tools like Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, DV360, and ad servers
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with interpreting performance data
- Ability to simplify complex insights for stakeholders and clients
- A proactive, flexible approach to working across teams and timelines
- A degree in marketing, digital media or a related field (preferred)
