HOW YOU'LL DO IT:

• Oversee the rundown of NZ Herald’s news stream, ensuring a compelling blend of live and pre-recorded content.
• Work seamlessly across teams to generate engaging video stories, from breaking news to in-depth interviews, ensuring quality content delivery.
• Lead the charge during live events, offering quick and clear direction to presenters, reporters, and producers in real-time.
• Collaborate with journalists and video producers to craft the perfect mix of content for a diverse audience, balancing hard news, business, and entertainment.
• Adapt quickly to fast-changing news, ensuring a continuous flow of relevant content without delay.
• Use your excellent communication skills to ensure smooth coordination and execution across all teams.
• Drive content strategy by pitching creative ideas and fresh angles, contributing to the wider news agenda.
• Keep the audience in mind, using data and insights to guide content development and maximise engagement.
• Maintain editorial standards, ensuring content is factually accurate and meets NZME’s legal and ethical guidelines.
