Weekend Breakfast Newsreader - Newstalk ZB
Are you an exceptional, multi-skilled broadcast journalist, able to write, sub and read radio bulletins? Are you a leader who can mentor our team of journalists on the weekends?
Newstalk ZB is looking for an anchor to produce and read our breakfast bulletins on Saturdays and Sundays.
This role suits someone who could be looking to keep their hand in the industry while keeping other commitments during the week.
While the role is 16 hours per week permanent part-time, there is the option of more casual hours on top of this.
You’ll read hourly bulletins for Newstalk ZB and NZME’s music brands, as well as our Affiliate stations.
You’ll write compelling, succinct radio copy, pulling together stories from our international news wires.
You’ll also have a comprehensive knowledge of media law, as you sub-edit stories for radio provided by our reporters.
You must be a news junkie, as you will be leading the Newstalk ZB weekend news team, mentoring reporters and helping them break stories.
You must be a quick thinker and quick worker to meet bulletin deadlines.
If this sounds like the role for you, apply now with your CV and a recent on-air sample.
Applications close Monday, 6th January 2025
All applicants will be asked about their working rights in New Zealand.
