Newsroom Coordinator - Auckland

THE ROLE:

Media is no ordinary environment and this is no ordinary role!  The purpose of the role is to support the editor of the New Zealand Herald and his senior leaders in our thriving newsroom and be the go-to person for the team’s admin requirements. No two days are the same so being resilient, organised and embracing an ever changing environment will be essential for achieving success in this role.

Attitude is everything here - you will be collaborative, flexible and open, and easy to interact with. You will have great attention to detail and take pride in accuracy and presentation.  You will need to be flexible and happy to turn your hand to anything.

RESPONSIBITLITIES:

  • Diary and email management
  • Meeting and event organisation
  • Preparation of presentations and reports
  • Travel booking
  • Roster creation and management
  • Project work

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A relevant qualification or experience in administrative / office management roles or experience in a large media company.

·   A relevant qualification or experience in administrative / office management roles or experience in a large media company.

·   Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite/Office

·   Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

·   Complete tasks in a timely and professional manner
