THE ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to achieve sales revenue, EBIT and growth targets.

This role is for a dynamic individual; someone passionate about sales, with the leadership experience to provide coaching & mentoring to our staff, who’ll tell it like it is, challenge the status quo and guide us by maintaining a high level of account management with current client base and actively identifying and engaging with potential new clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver sales revenue and growth targets by actively managing accounts: Develop & maintain an overarching business development strategy for YUDU. You will also be required to maintain overall responsibility for each account, undertake regular reviews with the client while also working with internal stakeholders to formulate on-going new business development plans to ensure a growth in profitable sales.
  • Leadership: Promote a team culture which reflects NZME’s values while attracting, developing and retaining the best talent in the industry. This requires regular coaching, development and succession planning to ensure ongoing engagement and motivation of the team.
  • Personal Growth & Development: Take responsibility for on-going learning and take advantage of all opportunities on offer, ensure thorough knowledge of NZME products and platforms and increase knowledge of media landscape & NZ business markets
  • Self-Management: Know your business and provide reporting and forecasting as required, fully utilise CRM and comply with NZME business rules, be a self-starter who is consistently target driven and motivated to achieve

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Degree qualification in commerce or media studies and/or extensive knowledge and experience in the New Zealand media market
  • 5 years’ experience in an account management role, preferably in a fast paced, audience focused sales environment
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications
  • Experience in the Recruitment/ Employment industry would be highly desirable
