Editorial Assistant – Auckland

The purpose of the role is to support the Editor of The New Zealand Herald and their team in the newsroom and across its related titles, assisting with the smooth operation of administrative tasks.


You’ll be doing anything and everything to ensure this department is under control – meeting & event organisation, presentations, reports, roster management and assistance and project work could all form a part of your day as you assist the general newsroom, Chiefs of Staff and EA to the Managing Editor. Phone enquiries will form a large part of the role so you’ll need to handle these in a friendly and efficient manner, displaying your patience and natural “people person” abilities!


 A relevant qualification or experience in administrative/office management roles.
